How to Reclaim SOL Using Phantom Wallet

Phantom is the most popular Solana wallet. Here's how to use SolanaRentReclaim with Phantom to recover your locked SOL.

Prerequisites

  • Phantom wallet extension installed (Download here)
  • At least 0.00001 SOL for transaction fees (usually already in your wallet)
  • Wallet unlocked and logged in

Detailed Instructions

Step 1: Open SolanaRentReclaim.com

Navigate to our website in the same browser where Phantom is installed.

Step 2: Click "Connect Wallet"

Click the "Connect Wallet" button in the top right corner of the page.

Step 3: Select Phantom

In the wallet selection popup, click on the Phantom logo. If Phantom is locked, it will prompt you to unlock it.

Step 4: Approve Connection

Phantom will show a connection request popup. Click "Connect" to approve. We only request read-only access to your public wallet address.

Security Note: We never have access to your private keys or seed phrase. We can only read your public wallet address and token accounts.

Step 5: Wait for Scan

The platform will automatically scan your wallet. This takes 5-10 seconds. You'll see a loading animation.

Step 6: Review Results

You'll see:

  • • Total number of empty accounts or dead tokens found
  • • Total SOL locked in these accounts
  • • Platform fee (10%)
  • • Amount you'll receive (90%)

Step 7: Click "Reclaim All"

When ready, click the "Reclaim All" button. This will prepare the transaction.

Step 8: Approve Transaction in Phantom

Phantom will show a transaction approval popup. Review the details and click "Approve" to sign the transaction.

What you'll see: Multiple instructions including "Close Account" for each empty account, plus a transfer for the platform fee. This is normal!

Step 9: Transaction Confirmed

Within 1-2 seconds, the transaction confirms. You'll see a success message with a link to view on Solscan.

Step 10: Check Your Balance

Open Phantom and refresh - your SOL balance is immediately updated with the reclaimed amount!

✅ Done! You've successfully reclaimed your SOL. The empty accounts are now closed and the rent is back in your wallet.

How to Reclaim SOL Using Solflare Wallet

Solflare is a powerful Solana wallet with both browser extension and mobile app. This guide works for both versions.

Using Solflare Browser Extension

  1. Install Solflare: Download from solflare.com
  2. Visit SolanaRentReclaim.com: Open the site in the same browser
  3. Click "Connect Wallet": Select Solflare from the wallet list
  4. Approve Connection: Solflare will ask for permission - click "Connect"
  5. Scan Completes: Wait 5-10 seconds for the scan to finish
  6. Review & Reclaim: Click "Reclaim All" and approve the transaction in Solflare

Using Solflare Mobile App

  1. Open Solflare App: Launch the Solflare mobile app
  2. Access Browser: Tap the browser icon (usually in the bottom navigation)
  3. Go to SolanaRentReclaim.com: Type the URL in the address bar
  4. Connect Wallet: Tap "Connect Wallet" - it will auto-detect Solflare mobile
  5. Follow Steps: Same process as browser - scan, review, and reclaim

Reclaiming SOL from Empty Token Accounts

Empty token accounts are the most common source of locked SOL. Every time you receive, buy, or trade a token, a new account is created. When the token is gone, the account stays empty with rent locked inside.

What Gets Reclaimed

  • Token Program Accounts: Standard SPL token accounts (most common)
  • Token-2022 Program Accounts: Newer token standard with advanced features
  • Rent-Exempt Balance: ~0.00203928 SOL per account

Bulk Processing

Our platform can close up to 15 accounts in a single transaction. If you have more than 15 empty accounts, we automatically:

Burning Worthless Tokens to Reclaim Rent

What Qualifies as a "Dead Token"?

How Token Burning Works

When you burn tokens, we:

  1. 1Burn all tokens in the account (send to null address - permanently removed from circulation)
  2. 2Close the account using Solana's native instruction
  3. 3Return the rent to your wallet (minus 10% platform fee)

⚠️ Important: Burning is permanent! Make sure you don't need these tokens. We only show tokens worth less than $0.01 to prevent accidental burns of valuable tokens.

Understanding Fees and Costs

Platform Fee: 10%

We charge a simple 10% fee on all SOL you recover. This is clearly shown before you approve any transaction.

Fee Calculation Example

Total rent locked:0.5000 SOL

You receive:0.4500 SOL

Network Transaction Fees

Solana charges very small transaction fees (typically ~0.00001 SOL or $0.0025). These fees go directly to network validators, not to us. They're automatically included in the transaction.

Affiliate Referral Program

If you use a referral link, the person who referred you receives 3.5% from our 10% fee. You still pay only 10% total - we split it with the referrer as a thank you for spreading the word.

🚨 We Will NEVER:

  • • Ask for your seed phrase or private keys
  • • Request remote access to your computer
  • • Contact you via DM asking for wallet information
  • • Ask you to send SOL to "verify" your wallet

Troubleshooting Common Issues

❌ Wallet Won't Connect

Possible solutions:

  • • Make sure your wallet extension is installed and unlocked
  • • Refresh the page and try again
  • • Clear browser cache and cookies
  • • Try a different browser (Chrome/Brave work best)
  • • Disable other wallet extensions temporarily
  • • Update your wallet extension to the latest version

🔍 Scan Shows 0 Accounts

This could mean:

  • • Great news! Your wallet is already clean
  • • You haven't traded many tokens yet
  • • All your token accounts still have balance
  • • Try checking the "Dead Tokens" tab as well

⚠️ Transaction Failed

Common causes and fixes:

  • Insufficient SOL: Make sure you have at least 0.00001 SOL for network fees
  • Network congestion: Wait 30 seconds and try again
  • Rejected in wallet: Make sure you clicked "Approve" in your wallet popup
  • Slippage issues: If transaction keeps failing, contact support

💰 SOL Didn't Appear

Steps to verify:

  • • Check the transaction on Solscan (we provide a link after success)
  • • Refresh your wallet (sometimes it takes a few seconds to update)
  • • Solana transactions confirm in 1-2 seconds usually
  • • Check if transaction shows "Success" on Solscan
  • • If Solscan shows success but wallet doesn't update, it's likely a display issue - your SOL is there

🐌 Scan Taking Too Long

Normal scan time: 5-10 seconds

  • • If scan takes longer than 30 seconds, refresh the page
  • • Check your internet connection
  • • Solana RPC might be slow - try again in a minute
  • • If problem persists, contact support

📱 Mobile Issues

For mobile wallet users:

  • • Use the in-app browser (don't use external browsers)
  • • Make sure you're on the latest version of your wallet app
  • • Clear app cache if having issues
  • • Some wallets work better on mobile than others - Phantom and Solflare are most reliable
